The name First Press refers to olive oil and wine manufacture where the ‘first pressing’ releases the highest quality, purest oil or juice that creates a coveted, high-end product, and this is how we view our hospitality services.
We are a luxury catering company specialising in providing delicious food and drink for weddings, corporate events, parties and social events. Our team consists of professional chefs, front of house staff and bartenders, who are passionate about creating memorable experiences for our clients. Based in beautiful Bradford-onAvon we work across Bristol, Bath, South Cotswolds, Wiltshire and Somerset. Looking for a venue please see our venue partners.
We believe that food and drink are an essential part of any event, and we work closely with our clients to create bespoke menus that fit their unique preferences and dietary requirements. At First Press, we are committed to using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients to ensure that every dish and drink we serve is not only delicious but supports the local economy, artisan suppliers and farmers.

Meet our founders
Meet James Twiner, the Founder and Head Chef at First Press Hospitality. With years of experience in the hospitality industry, James is passionate about creating exceptional culinary experiences for his clients and their guests. His journey began in restaurant management, where he honed his skills in service team leadership, all while developing a keen eye for detail.
In 2025, James was joined by Clara Howard, his partner in life and now in business. With a background in sales, marketing, events, and corporate management, Clara brings the organization, communication, and calm precision that keep each event running seamlessly. Together, they balance artistry with strategy—turning vision into execution and hospitality into truly memorable events.
